| We are getting a lot of questions about the tournament schedule, rules and registration and here are some answers to some of the commonly asked questions.
Do I need to bring my own controller or hard drive?
No. We will have corded controllers available so please do not bring your own controllers. We cannot play with wireless constrollers as they might interupt game play if accidentally synced. We will have LAN accounts that have been leveled for you to use.
Is this running on a LAN or Cable Connection?
We will be running this tourney as a LAN event. We have access to the internet that will be used to broadcast matches and have live chat.
What's the schedule day of the tournament?
We will be doing day of registrations and organizing last minute changes to the brackets from 9am - 10am on tournament day. The first matches should start by 10:15am.
This is scheduled to be a single elimination tournament. We are expecting to have 2 full stations to run the rounds faster then normal.
What do you mean by "Amateur Dubs Edition" tourney?
In order to keep things competitive for all players if you have previously been on a winning Clan Wars team then you can still play but not be partnered with someone that has also won a past event.
What if I am under 17 and still want to play in the tournament?
You can still register but will need to have a waiver signed by your parent or have an adult present with you at the event. Email theory@gmail.com for a waiver form or download the waiver document zipped. (UPDATED)
I don't have a teammate but still want to play. How can I do this?
We will be taking all "FREE AGENT" submissions and organizing teams so that you can still participate. We will pair you up or you can talk to the other 'FREE AGENTS' at pre-registration to find a dubs team to play on.
Can I bring my own headset to use?
Yes. If you have your own headset that you would like to use then you can bring it along.
How do I pay my entry fee for the tournament?
Make sure that you Pre-Register and we will be collecting the $20 entry fee at the door. We will be accepting cash or checks only. Sorry, no credit cards.
I need to make changes to my clan or my registration?
You can email any changes to your clan, team or name by sending an email to theory@gmail.com.
I am travelling from out of town and need a place to stay or a decent hotel. Do you have any recommendations?
We suggest you use a online booking service like Hotels.com or Hotwire.com and choose the downtown Seattle location and at least 3-stars for a decent place to stay.
What if I play on a PS3 or PC but still want to participate in the tournament?
Game on. The only issue for you will be using the Xbox controller if you are not familiar with it. We will have the Xbox accounts all ready for you to use that will be on each Xbox.
I already Pre-Registered so can I just show up at 12:00pm?
No. Please try to arrive shortly before noon in case we have any changes that we might need to inform you of. We will be playing at the HG Lodge located in the Capitol Hill neighborhood in Seattle, WA. Street parking is free all day on Sundays and should be widely available all around the venue.
